PHILOSOPHY
‘Fourth Wall’ is a term used in theatre to describe the invisible wall between the audience and the stage through which the audience experiences the world of the play.
In theatre the set usually consists of three walls. The audience is therefore the ‘Fourth Wall’.

Annelie graduated from the University of Port Elizabeth with a Bachelor’s Degree in Building Arts in 1993.

She then graduated Cum Laude from The Design Centre in Johannesburg with a Diploma in Interior Design (Nottingham Trent University) in 1995.
Annelie won the PG Bison Interior Design Award as a student in 1995.

She worked for a number of interior design firms in Johannesburg and joined
D12 Interiors in 2000. In 2002 she was awarded the position of director and partnership and managed the company until her departure in 2008 when she formed Fourth Wall.
